The Energy Saving Trust
programme will run over three years and replaces the previous DTI Clear Skies and
solar energy grants
programme.
This schemes are open to households, public, not for profit and commercial organisations across the UK (except the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). These programmes will demonstrate how affordable solar panels, energy efficiency and microgeneration can work together to create low carbon buildings.
This includes;
Solar Panels for Water Heating
Wood Fuel Boilers
Automated Wood Pellet Stoves
Ground Source Heat Pumps
Wind and Micro-Hydro power
To be eligible for grants for residential solar panels you will need to use a certified installer and products. This will bring affordable solar panels one step closer.
If you go the DIY route then you will make more than enough savings to not bother with grants anyway. If this is the route you want to go down click here.
