The company has devised a solar training curriculum that has been created by themselves. They are calling it "Learning About Solar Power" and it seems like a great way to get kids involved in renewable energy from an early age. The comprehensive solar training guide will enable teachers to show children all about solar power and everything related to it.
Dr. Laura Martin, senior director for the Arizona Science Center said that the solar training curriculum from SunEdison is "a program.....from the real-world, which brings solar energy to life for students and also really allows them to develop an understanding of how energy profoundly affects their lives. This is technology being developed today for use now and in decades to come."
Jigar Shah, one of the executives at SunEdison, shared that his interest in solar power came from an early age back when he was a teenager. So he believes that the solar training curriculum is a excellent way to teach these students a good grounding in solar energy education.
Anything that can raise awareness in solar energy has to be a good thing. The program could also help develop interest in these children who might then go into a career involving solar energy.
And if the next generation of children grow up with solar energy being the norm, they will pass it on to their kids and hopefully they will do a better job at preserving our environment than we have.
