Irish Solar Power Grants

irish solar power grants, solar power, solar panels, irish solar power

Irish solar power grants are administered by The Greener Homes Scheme, part of Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI).

Its aim is to increase the use of renewable energy in Irish homes through attractive grants for solar panels. The Government believes that this will help people install technology such as solar energy which will accelerate the development of a long term market.

This in turn will help the Irish Government to reduce carbon emmissions whilst giving its people a chance to save both money and energy.

The Greener Homes Scheme - now in Phase III - is open to homeowners who would like to retro-fit or install a new solar power system in their existing home. New builds are not eligible for this scheme. And you can only have one grant per household.

The Irish solar power grants will be provided to homeowners only after the product has been approved and registered with the SEI.

Also, irish solar power grants will only be issued if you use an installer who has registered with SEI at the time of application and at time of system commissioning.

Certain companies will manage the Grant application for their customers from start to finish, thus ensuring that the details are completed correctly and there is no risk of delay in the process.

Commercial Solar Power Grants

The Renewable Heat Deployment Program aims to increase the installation of renewable heating systems such as solar power panels in commercial, industrial, public and community premises.

This will in turn cut carbon emissions and help the Irish Government move away from over-reliance on fossil fuels.

Coupled with their initiatives of implementing residential solar power water heaters via grants as well, this will hopefully increase consumer awareness and heighten confidence in heating from renewable sources.

Under the Renewable Heat Deployment Program grants of up to 30% of the cost of your commercial solar panels is available.

However, please keep in mind that Irish solar power grant applications must be submitted before the solar panels are purchased. Payment will be made directly to you once the installation and commissioning of the solar panels is complete and payment for the system has been made in full.
