DIY Solar Power Can Dramatically Reduce Costs

diy solar power, solar energy, diy solar, solar power, diy power

DIY solar power systems for heating your homes water are all the rage as they bypass the ridiculously high costs associated with installation by a solar company.

They can save you a lot of money and are great for the environment.

They are composed of solar thermal collectors, a fluid system to move the heat from the collector to its point of usage, and a reservoir or tank for heat storage and subsequent use.

These residental solar power systems can be used to heat domestic hot water and make you considerable savings on your fuel bills.

Performance Of A DIY Solar Power System

In many climates, hot water solar panels can provide a very high percentage (50 to 75%) of your domestic hot water requirements. Even in winter they can generate 40% of your water.

Unscrupulous Dealers

Because the solar hot water industry has been a closed shop for so long, the cost of hiring a company to install hot water solar panels like this can be expensive. Around £3000-£5000 ($4500-$7500).

There are a lot of companies ripping people off with vastly inflated prices. This is the only disadvantage of solar energy I can think of. And some of these so called solar power dealers try the hard sell, bullying people - especially the elderly - into signing up to their ridiculous offers.

However, installing a solar power system in your home needn't be a costly exercise. If you have ever scratched your head wondering "how do I go about installing a solar power system at my house without it costing ME the earth" then read on...

Convert Home To Solar Energy

Basically, if you have a basic grasp of diy then you can easily build your own solar power system. Below I will tell you what you will need to build your own DIY solar power water heater and a great little guide that will save you lots of money.

Where can I purchase such kits

You can source these materials yourself or - if you live in the UK - you can buy my ready-to-go diy solar power kits. If you live outside the UK, scroll down a few paragraphs.

I sell full ready-to-go kits at a fraction of the price of others. Why? Because I'm on a mission to get as many people on solar energy as possible!

I also sell these diy solar kits on eBay. Check out my eBay feedback on solar goods.

I can't ship my solar kits too far due to the expensive freight charges. I have delivered to France but that's about as far as it has got.

Outside of the UK

Alternatively, you could use the Simple Heaters guide which is a great way of cutting costs even more. This guide will take you step-by-step through the entire process of sourcing and building your own solar power system for next-to-nothing. It is really worth the small investment as it will pay you back many times.

Important Note - This guide is on a special promotional offer of only $29.99 (£20), reduced from $97. I don't know when the owner will put the price back up. So grab yourself a bargain and order it today

A solar water heater is a great way to cut your bills dramatically whilst helping to preserve our environment.
