The Solar Cube is a portable solar and wind powered desalination unit that can produce 950-1500 gallons of fresh water each and every day.
Attached solar photovoltaic cells generate up to 1240 watts, while the wind generator can produce up to 1000 watts.
The Cube produces far more power than is needed for water production alone, so all the extra energy it generates can be used for other things such as the operation of emergency equipment.
The Chilean military have already tested it and found it extremely useful. And it has been introduced to remote parts of South America where fresh drinking water and electricity are in short supply.
Such a device can easily be used in natural disasters such as earthquakes of tsunami's.
And under rigorous testing, the Cube has performed admirably with a recovery rate of 30% and production of high quality water that contains less than 170 mg/L of seawater.
So the
benefits of solar power cubes
are quite clear for all to see.
Are you tired of your ever-increasing fuel bills? Would you like your very own solar power system for under $200/£100 that will save you 80% on your electricity bill and help the environment? If the answer is 'YES' then click here for more information. As seen on CNN. |
At $38,000, the Solar Cube probably won’t be used in domestic dwellings anytime soon. However, it is ideal for disaster sites and remote areas that have no access to fresh water. A worthwhile addition to the solar marketplace even if it saves just one life.
