Arizona Solar Power

Arizona Solar Power, solar energy, solar power, solar panel

The potential for Arizona solar power is immense. Arizona has enough all year sunshine to power the entire country.

Yet solar energy in arizona is used in less than half of 1% of the state's power. When compared to California, its way behind.

California and New Jersey, for example, offer rebates and incentives for residential solar power systems that are more appealing than anything offered to Arizona residents.

However, that's about to change...

After watching many less sunny states plough forward with solar energy initiatives, Arizona is finally to expand its use of solar energy dramatically in the next few years, with a minimum of 5% of the state's energy by 2025 to come from projects like rooftop solar panels.

With Arizona's energy demands growing at a furious rate, the need for alternative sources of power such as solar energy is of the utmost importance.

"It's just a prime place for solar energy. It's the best in the United States, there's no doubt," said Larry Kazmerski, director of the National Center for Photovoltaics at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colo.

With a feed in tariff available Arizona solar power looks set to blossom. The "feed-in tariff" aims to guarantee profits for solar developers, while encouraging more solar energy in arizona.

Advocates of the tariff say it is needed because Arizona solar power companies need to be sure that they can make money before investing in major solar projects. The feed-in tariff would be similar rules to the model in Germany, the world's largest market for solar power.

Meeting the targets set out by various governing bodies means that more rooftop solar energy panels will be popping up on homes.

There are even proposals for communities to have solar panels on every rooftop which would connect to one another and the whole system would tie to a main grid.

And there are loads of techniques for implementing renewable energy installations for your home without it costing you a fortune. If you know some DIY, you can install your own. Click here for more details.

Also, finding a reliable company that will supply you with cutting edge solar energy products at low prices isn't always easy.

But you can buy solar panels pretty much anywhere these days so shop around for the best bargain. Prices for solar power in arizona can very greatly.
